Signing in with Google, Discord or a wallet

Besides email and password, you can sign in with Google, X, Facebook, Discord or Reddit, or with a Solana wallet (Phantom, Backpack or Solflare). You can add or remove these in Settings → Account under Ways to sign in.

Signing in with Google, X, Facebook, Discord or Reddit

1. On the sign-in page, select the service's button.
2. Approve offtheave on that service's page.
3. You're brought back and signed in.

• Google and Discord only count an email address they have confirmed. If yours shares a confirmed email that already has an offtheave account, that sign-in method is added to that account.
• X, Reddit, or any service that doesn't share a confirmed email: the first time, you'll see Almost there and be asked to add your email. We send a confirmation link. Open it, then sign in with the same service again.
• If the email you type already has an account, you'll be asked to sign in to that account instead.

Signing in with a Solana wallet

1. Select Sign in with a Solana wallet.
2. On a computer, your wallet extension opens (or a QR code to scan with your wallet app). On a phone, pick your wallet and the site opens inside the wallet's browser.
3. Your wallet asks you to sign a message that starts with "OffTheAve: Verify wallet ownership" and includes a one-time code. Approve it.

Signing this message proves the wallet is yours. It isn't a transaction and doesn't move any funds. Each message works once and expires after 10 minutes, so if you wait too long, just start again.

A wallet that isn't on offtheave yet takes you to Finish creating your account: pick a username and add your email, confirm the email from your inbox, then sign in with your wallet.

Linking a wallet to your account

1. Go to Settings → Account and select Link next to Solana wallet (or Link a wallet in Settings → Payments).
2. Connect your wallet and sign the message.

• One wallet per account, and a wallet can only be linked to one account.
• To switch wallets, unlink the current one first in Settings → Payments → $DORA wallet → Unlink, then link the new one.
• We email your account's address whenever a wallet is linked. If it wasn't you, unlink it, change your password and contact us.

Connecting and disconnecting services

• In Settings → Account, select Connect next to Google, Facebook, Discord or Reddit. This adds the service to the account you’re signed in to, and you come back to Settings with a message saying it’s connected. If that Google (or other) account is already connected to a different offtheave account, you’ll see a message and nothing changes.
• Select Disconnect to remove one. You must keep at least one way to sign in. If it's your only one, create a password first.

Before unlinking a wallet, make sure you have another way to sign in, like a password. If the wallet is your only way in, unlinking it can lock you out.

Troubleshooting

• "Confirm your email first": open the confirmation link we sent, then sign in again. See How do I confirm my email?
• "That sign-in didn't work": try again. Make sure you approved offtheave on the service's page.
• "This wallet is already linked to another account": sign in to that account and unlink it there first.
• "This sign-in request expired": start the wallet sign-in again and sign the new message.
