How do I change my password?
Go to Settings → Account, find Password, enter your current password and your new one twice, then select Change password. You stay signed in on the device you're using, and every other device is signed out.
Step by step
- Go to Settings → Account.
- In Password, enter your Current password.
- Enter your New password and type it again in Type it again.
- Select Change password.
You'll see Password updated. You were signed out everywhere else. Any other phone, tablet or browser will need to sign in with the new password.
Rules
- At least 8 characters.
- Don't reuse a password from another site. A password manager makes this easy.
Forgot your current password?
Select Forgot your password? under the Password fields. We'll email a reset link to your account's address. It works for one hour. Choosing a new password from that link signs you out everywhere, including the device you're on, so you'll sign in again afterward. You can also do this from the sign-in page; see I can't sign in.
No password yet?
If you signed up with Google, X, Facebook, Discord, Reddit or a wallet, this section is called Create a password. Enter a new password twice and select Create password. You don't need a current password. After that you can also sign in with your email and password, and you can disconnect sign-in methods you no longer use.
Troubleshooting
- "Your current password is incorrect": check caps lock and try again, or use Forgot your password?.
- "The new passwords don't match": retype the second field.
- Someone else may know your password: change it now, then check Settings → Security for devices you don't recognize and consider turning on two-step sign-in.
