How do I manage my devices?
On this page
Settings → Security has a list called Where you're signed in. It shows each browser or device that signed in to your account, and lets you sign any of them out.
What the list shows
- The browser and system, like "Chrome on Windows" or "Safari on iPhone".
- The network address it signed in from and how long ago.
- This device next to the one you're using now.
Each browser appears once. Signing in again on the same browser updates its row instead of adding a new one. Devices that haven't signed in for more than 30 days are cleared from the list the next time you sign in.
Sign out one device
- Go to Settings → Security.
- Find the device under Where you're signed in and select Sign out.
- Confirm with Sign out. That device will need to sign in again.
Sign out everywhere else
When more than one other device is listed, select Sign out all others at the top of the list and confirm. You stay signed in on the device you're using.
Changing your password also signs out every other device. See How do I change my password?
Don't recognize a device?
- Sign it out.
- Change your password right away.
- Turn on two-step sign-in.
- Check that the email in Settings → Account is still yours.
The network address is an IP address, not an exact place. Phones and some internet providers change it often, so a new address isn't always a sign of trouble.
How long you stay signed in
When you sign in with Keep me signed in for 30 days checked, that device stays signed in for 30 days. Without it, about a week.
