Artist pages
On this page
Every artist on offtheave has a page that puts everything credited to them in one place, at offtheave.com/music/artist-name (for example, offtheave.com/music/pac-man).
Find an artist page
- Type the artist's name in the search bar at the top. Artists show up in the dropdown and under Artists on the search page.
- Select an artist's name on a song, mixtape, video or short.
- Or go straight to offtheave.com/music/ followed by their name, with dashes instead of spaces.
What's on an artist page
- Play all and Shuffle play their music, mixtape tracks and features included.
- Latest release shows their newest drop, and Popular lists their 5 most played songs.
- Tabs for All, Music, Videos, Playlists and Community. On phones, swipe left or right to switch tabs.
- Appears on lists other artists' mixtapes they're featured on.
- Similar artists and Top fans come up in a new order on every visit.
- Releases they've scheduled that aren't out yet.
- A search box to find one song or video without leaving the page.
The Community tab
The Community tab shows what people are saying about the artist:
- Comments on their songs, mixtapes, videos and shorts.
- Reposts of their work with something said.
- Feed posts and community threads that link their music or their artist page, and the comments under them.
- @mentions of the artist, if they're a member.
Sort by Recent or Top, and select any comment to jump right to it. Only conversation tied to the artist's music counts, so an artist whose name is a common phrase doesn't pick up unrelated comments. Private posts, followers-only posts and private communities never show up. The tab appears as soon as there's something to show.
Share an artist page
Select the share icon next to Play all to copy the link, post it to other apps, or make a QR code or flyer. See Reposts and sharing.
Get your music on your page
- When you upload, put your artist name in the Artists field. See Release details, credits and lyrics.
- An upload with no artists listed counts as the uploader's, under the name on their profile.
- A mixtape track with no artists of its own goes under the mixtape's artists.
Claim your artist page
If no member goes by the artist's name, the page shows Is this you? Claim this page. Select it to send us a request through the Contact page, and we'll link the page to your account. Once your profile's display name matches the artist name, your profile and Follow button show on the page.
Know when people talk about your music
When someone links your music or your artist page in a public post or comment, you get a notification. You can turn these on or off with Reposts and shares in Settings → Notifications.
