Reposts and sharing

Updated · 1 min read

Repost puts someone's song, mixtape, playlist, video or post into your followers' feeds, with your own note if you want. Share gives you a link, quick buttons for other apps, and a QR code you can download or print.

Repost something

  1. Select Repost on a song, mixtape, playlist, video, short, post or photo album.
  2. Optionally add your thoughts (type @ to mention someone), a GIF, emoji, or a voice note.
  3. Select Repost.

The repost shows up on your profile and in your followers' feeds, and the creator is notified.

What can't be reposted

  • Private uploads.
  • Followers-only uploads, unless you follow the creator.
  • Scheduled releases before they come out.
  • Photo albums that aren't public.

A repost note can be up to 5,000 characters. GIFs come from the GIF picker, and voice notes have to be your own. See Voice notes.

  1. Select Share (the share icon).
  2. Choose X, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram or Reddit, or More to use your device's share menu.
  3. Or select Copy to copy the link and paste it anywhere.

QR codes and flyers

The Share sheet also has a QR code that opens the page when scanned:

  • Choose QR only, or Flyer for a card with the cover art and title.
  • Select Download to save it as an image, Share image to send it, or Print.

Print the flyer for shows, merch tables and posters. Anyone can scan it with a phone camera and land right on your song.

Where to find Share

  • Song, mixtape, playlist and video pages.
  • The ⋯ menus in My Library, History and Bookmarks.
  • Each entry on Charts, and the chart itself.
  • Right after an upload, on the It's up screen.
