How do I edit or delete a song or mixtape?

Open the song or mixtape, choose the ⋯ menu, and select Edit song or Edit mixtape. You can also find everything you've uploaded in My Library, where each item's ⋯ menu has Edit. Make your changes and select Save changes.

What you can change on a song

• Artwork, title, and whether it's a Song or a Beat.
• The audio: select Replace next to Current audio to swap in a new mix or master. It replaces the old one when you save.
• Featured artists, genres, tags and description.
• For beats: BPM, key, mood, and the untagged WAV and stems for buyers.
• Release details, credits and lyrics.
• Who can see it, comments, downloads, and selling.

Plays, likes and comments stay with the song when you replace the audio.

Organizing a mixtape's tracks

On the mixtape's edit page, the Tracks section lets you:

• Reorder: drag a track by its handle. Then select Save changes. Until you save, you'll see The new track order isn't saved yet.
• Add tracks: drop audio files on Add tracks. They go on the end and upload right away, with the mixtape's visibility. Tap a new track afterwards to add its details. If you've just reordered, save the order first.
• Edit a track: select the pencil to open that track's own edit page, where you can rename it, replace its audio, and add credits and lyrics.
• Remove a track: select the trash icon and confirm. The track is deleted for good, with its plays and comments, and the rest are renumbered.

You can also change the artwork, title, Mixtape or Beat tape, details, release details, credits, publishing settings and selling. Under Selling, you can sell the whole mixtape and, if you like, each track on its own with Each track (USD) and Each track (XP).

A mixtape's tracks follow its Publishing settings. Change who can see the mixtape and its tracks change with it.

Deleting

1. Open the edit page.
2. Under Delete song (or Delete mixtape), select the delete button.
3. Confirm with Delete.

You can also delete one or more items from My Library: choose Select, pick items, and select the trash icon.

Deleting can't be undone. The upload goes away with its plays, likes and comments. Deleting a mixtape deletes all of its tracks. XP you earned from it may be taken back.

Deleting frees up your music storage. If the meter still looks full afterwards, open My Library, which recounts your storage.

Troubleshooting

• Save changes is grayed out: nothing has changed yet.
• "Can't edit this": you can only edit your own uploads.
• It's still private after I changed it: if a copyright notice took the upload down, it stays private. See My upload was taken down for copyright.
