How do I spend XP?

Updated · 2 min read

You can spend XP on a plan, on badges, on boosts for your content, and on songs, beats and mixtapes whose sellers accept XP. Everything goes through your cart: choose XP when you add an item, then click Pay with XP. 1 XP is worth $0.01.

What you can buy with XP

  • Plans: Bronze, Silver or Gold for a month or a year. XP plans don't renew on their own. See Paying for a plan with XP.
  • Badges: shop badges on the Badges page. See Badges.
  • Boosts: promote your songs, videos, posts and more. Each cent of a boost's budget costs 1 XP. See How do boosts work?
  • Music: songs, mixtapes and beat licenses in the Market that have an XP price. Sellers choose whether to accept XP.

Step by step

  1. On the item, click the buy button (Get [plan], Unlock, Buy or Buy a license). For a boost, choose XP Points for the budget when you set it up on Boost.
  2. Choose XP. The sheet shows your balance, or how much more you need.
  3. Click Add to cart.
  4. In your cart, under Pay with XP, check the total and click Pay with XP.
  5. The XP is taken from your balance and your items are delivered right away.

Have a promo code? Enter it in the cart before paying. Percentage codes work on XP payments.

What spending does to your XP

  • Your balance goes down by the amount you spend.
  • Your level doesn't change. It's based on lifetime XP. See Levels.
  • Every spend is listed under Spent in the History tab on the XP page, and on your Purchases page.

Other things you can do with XP

You can withdraw XP as $DORA on fedora.foundation. See Withdrawing XP as $DORA.

Troubleshooting

  • The XP option is grayed out. Your balance is lower than the price.
  • There's no XP option on a song or beat. The seller hasn't set an XP price for it.
  • "Some items in your cart can't be bought right now." An item changed since you added it. Remove the flagged item and pay for the rest.
  • XP purchases can't be undone. Sales are final, except where a file is missing or broken and can't be fixed. See the Terms.
