Levels

Updated · 1 min read

Your level comes from your lifetime XP: everything you've ever earned on offtheave. It goes up as you earn and never goes down when you spend or withdraw XP. Only penalties for breaking the rules lower it.

Where to see it

  • The top of the XP page shows your level number and title, a progress bar, and how much XP you need to reach the next level.
  • Your path shows the levels around yours. All levels opens the full list with the XP each one needs and any reward that comes with it.

How it works

  • Each level has an XP threshold. When your lifetime XP reaches it, you move up.
  • Level thresholds and titles are set by offtheave and can change; the XP page always shows the current ones.
  • The Leaderboard tab ranks members by lifetime XP, All time or over the Last 30 days, and shows your spot.

What raises it

What doesn't lower it

  • Spending XP on plans, badges, boosts or music.
  • Withdrawing XP as $DORA.
  • XP taken back when you undo an action or delete something. That lowers your balance, not your level.

What does lower it

  • Penalties: being caught spamming, a report against your content that's found valid, or content that's heavily voted down. These take XP from your balance and lower your level by the same amount.
  • Enough penalties can take your level below zero.

The quickest way up is steady activity: uploading, commenting and getting noticed each day, within the daily limits shown on the XP page.
