How do I create an account?

Go to Join free and sign up with your email, with Google, X, Facebook, Discord or Reddit, or with a Solana wallet. Sign-up has three steps: Account, Profile and Plan. You need to be 13 or older to join.

Step 1: Account (with email)

1. Open /register.
2. Pick a Username. It's checked as you type, and it becomes your web address (offtheave.com/yourname). Usernames are 3 to 30 letters, numbers, periods, dashes or underscores.
3. Enter your Email. If it already has an account, you'll see a Sign in link instead.
4. Choose a Password of at least 8 characters. The strength meter tells you if it's too weak.
5. If a friend invited you, their username goes in Invited by (optional). Invite links fill this in for you.
6. Complete the reCAPTCHA and select Create account.
7. You'll see Check your email. Open the link we sent to confirm your account. The link works for 24 hours.
8. Sign in. You'll go straight to Step 2.

Can't find the email? Check your spam or promotions folder, or select Send it again. Typed the wrong address? Select Wrong email? Start over.

Signing up with Google, X, Facebook, Discord or Reddit

• Select the service's button at the top of the sign-up page and approve the request.
• If the service shares a confirmed email with us, your account is created and you're signed in. We pick a username based on your name; see Can I change my username?.
• If the service doesn't share an email, we ask you for one. Confirm it from your inbox, then sign in with that service again.
• If you already have an offtheave account with the same confirmed email, signing in this way adds that service as another way into your existing account.

Signing up with a Solana wallet

1. Select Sign up with a Solana wallet and approve the signature request in your wallet.
2. On Finish creating your account, pick a username and add your email. Wallet accounts don't need a password.
3. Confirm your email from your inbox, then sign in with your wallet.

Step 2: Profile

Six short screens, each saved as you go. Only the first is required; you can Skip the rest and fill them in later from Edit profile.

• What should we call you? Your display name (up to 50 characters) and your birthday. Your birthday is never shown on your profile.
• Add your photo and cover: JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, cropped before upload.
• Tell people your story: bio (up to 1,000 characters) and location.
• Your voice and your anthem: record a voice intro and pick your Anthem.
• What are you into? What brings you here and your favorite genres, used for recommendations.
• Where else can fans find you? Your website and social links.

Step 3: Plan

Choose Keep it free, or pick a paid plan (monthly or yearly) and check out by card or with XP. You can also select Skip for now and upgrade later from Settings → Membership.

Troubleshooting

• "Too many sign-ups from here." Wait an hour and try again.
• "That email already has an account." Sign in instead, or reset your password. See I can't sign in.
• The confirmation link expired. See How do I confirm my email?.
• Your new account was blocked or banned right away. See Why was my new account blocked?.
