How do I control what others see about my activity?
There's no single switch that hides everything you do on offtheave. Instead, you decide who sees each post, upload and playlist, and you can remove likes, comments and history whenever you want. Here's what others can see and how to keep more of it to yourself.
What other people can see today
- Your posts and reposts, depending on each one's visibility (Everyone, Followers or Only me).
- Your likes, on the Likes tab of your profile.
- Your comments, to anyone who can see the item you commented on.
- Your uploads, playlists and photo albums, depending on each one's privacy setting.
Your listening history, bookmarks, email and birthday are private to you.
How to keep more of it to yourself
- Post to fewer people: in the composer, choose Followers or Only me instead of Everyone. For an existing post or repost, open its ⋯ menu → Visibility.
- Remove a like from your Likes tab by unliking the item.
- Delete a comment or post from its ⋯ menu if you no longer want it seen.
- Make uploads private in bulk from My Library: select items and choose Who can see.
- Keep specific people out: blocking someone hides your profile and posts from them entirely.
- Clean up your history: remove items from, or clear, your listening history. See Listening history.
