How do I choose which emails I get?

You choose which emails we send in Settings → Notifications. These switches only affect email. Everything still shows up in your notifications on the site.
What you can change
- Email me: the main switch. When it's on, your notifications are also emailed to you. Turn it off to stop all activity emails.
- Email me about: turn individual kinds off while keeping the rest:
- New followers: when someone follows you.
- Mentions: when someone @mentions you in a post or comment.
- Replies: when someone replies to your comment.
- Messages: when someone sends you a message, including message requests.
- Sales: when someone buys your music, beats or mixtapes.
- Weekly roundup (under Weekly digest): top charts, an artist spotlight and what's trending, once a week.
Step by step
- Go to Settings → Notifications. You can also tap the gear on the Notifications page.
- Flip the switches you want. Each change saves as soon as you flip it.
The switches under Email me about and Weekly roundup only work while Email me is on. With it off, they're grayed out and nothing is sent.
Emails you always get
Even with Email me off, we still send receipts and security emails.
Where emails go
Emails go to your account email. To change it, go to Settings → Account. See How do I change my email?.
Troubleshooting
- I'm not getting emails: make sure Email me and the specific kind are on, check your spam or promotions folder, and check that your email address is confirmed. See How do I confirm my email?.
- I'm getting too many emails: switch off the kinds you don't want, or turn off Email me. You'll still see everything on the site.
- That didn't save: the switch flips back if the change didn't reach us. Check your connection and try again.
