Do you accept $DORA?

Updated · 2 min read

$DORA is a token on the Solana blockchain. offtheave has $DORA payments built in, but they're only offered when they're switched on. When they aren't, you won't see a $DORA option anywhere, and you can pay by card or with XP instead.

How to tell if $DORA is available

  • The Plans page says "Pay by card or XP or $DORA", and the buy sheet shows a $DORA option.
  • Settings → Payments describes $DORA payments in the $DORA wallet section. When they're off, it says $DORA payments are coming soon.

What you need

  1. A Solana wallet that holds $DORA.
  2. That wallet linked to your account: Settings → Payments → $DORA wallet → Link a wallet. A linked wallet also lets you sign in without a password.

When $DORA payments are on

  • Choose $DORA when you add something to your cart. It goes in the Pay with $DORA group.
  • Plans, badges and boosts are discounted when paid with $DORA; the cart shows the discount. Songs, beats and mixtapes cost their normal price.
  • Click Check out with $DORA. The token amount is worked out from the current $DORA price and held for a short countdown. Your wallet opens so you can approve the transfer.
  • Payments for a creator's music go straight to that creator's wallet. Payments for plans, badges and boosts go to offtheave.
  • Your purchase is delivered once the transfer is confirmed on the blockchain, and it's listed on your Purchases page with a link to the transaction.
  • A plan paid with $DORA works like an XP plan: it covers one month or year and doesn't renew on its own.

Blockchain payments are sent from your own wallet and can't be reversed by offtheave. Check the amount before you approve it.

Selling for $DORA

With a linked wallet, you can turn on Accept $DORA in the Selling section when you upload or edit. Buyers then pay you directly, wallet to wallet. See How do I sell my music?

XP and $DORA

Separately from payments, you can move XP you've earned on offtheave to $DORA. See Withdrawing XP as $DORA.
