How do I edit or delete a video or short?

Open the video or short, choose Edit video or Edit short from its ⋯ menu, make your changes and press Save changes. You can change everything except the video file itself. Deleting is at the bottom of the same page.
Where to find it
- Video: on the watch page, open the ⋯ menu and choose Edit video.
- Short: in the shorts viewer, open More options and choose Edit short.
- From your library: in My Library · Video, open the Videos or Shorts tab and choose Edit from the item’s menu.
What you can change
- Thumbnail (videos) or Cover (shorts): JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Title and Description.
- Artists in it, Genres and Tags. Adding a member sends them a new invite to be credited; removing one takes the credit off.
- Release details and Credits (videos) or Explicit (shorts).
- Who can see it and Comments.
The bar at the bottom says You have unsaved changes until you save. If you try to leave with unsaved changes, you’re asked first.
If your video was scheduled and your plan no longer includes scheduling, you can still edit it and keep the date you set. Picking a new date needs a plan with scheduled releases.
What you can’t change
The video file stays as it is. To use a different file, upload it as a new video or short, then delete the old one. For a YouTube video, the edit page shows “Plays from YouTube.”
Changing who can see several at once
In My Library · Video, choose Who can see it from an item’s menu, or select several items and change them together.
Deleting
- Open the edit page and scroll to Delete video (or Delete short). You can also choose Delete video or Delete short from the ⋯ menu, or Delete in your library.
- Confirm. The video or short is removed for good, with its plays, likes and comments.
The space it used is added back to your video storage.
Deleting can’t be undone. If you only want to hide it, set Who can see it to Private instead.
Troubleshooting
- “Only the person who uploaded it can edit it.” You can only edit your own uploads.
- “Scheduled releases come with Premium.” Your plan doesn’t include scheduling a new date. Choose another option or upgrade.
- My new thumbnail doesn’t show right away. Reload the page; your browser may be showing the old image.
