What is the Vault?
On this page
The Vault holds the finished mixes (renders) you make in the Booth. Only you can hear them until you release them. From the Vault you can play, rename and download renders, release one as a single, or put several out together as a mixtape. Open it from the menu under Creator Studio → Vault, or go to /creator/vault.
How renders get there
In the Booth, press Render, give the mix a title, choose Beat (no vocals) or Song, and press Save to Vault. See How do I make a song in the Booth?
What you see
- Totals for Renders, Unreleased, Released and Space used.
- Search by title or session, filter by All, Unreleased or Released, and sort by Newest, Oldest, Title or BPM.
- Play any render right in the list.
Release a render as a single
- Press Release next to the render (or choose Release as a single from its menu).
- The upload form opens with the render already attached. Add artwork and details as you would for any song or beat, then publish.
Once it’s out, the render is marked released and gets View release and Boost this release.
Release several as a mixtape
- Press Select and pick two or more unreleased renders.
- Press Release as a mixtape. The mixtape form opens with those tracks in it.
Other options
Each render’s menu also has Design a cover (opens Canvas), Rename, Download, Open its session (for renders from a session saved to your account) and Delete.
Storage
Renders sitting in your Vault don’t count toward your music storage. When you release one, its file size counts toward your music storage like any other upload.
Deleting
- The Vault holds up to 200 renders at a time. When it’s full, delete renders you’ve released or don’t need.
- Deleting an unreleased render removes the audio file for good.
- Released renders can’t be deleted from the Vault. If you delete the release itself, its render goes back to unreleased, so you can release it again or delete it. To take the music down, edit or delete the release from your library.
- Deleting a Booth session doesn’t delete its renders. They stay in your Vault.
Troubleshooting
- “Storage quota exceeded” when releasing. Your music storage is full. Free up space in your library or upgrade.
- “Couldn’t play that render.” Reload the page and try again, or use Download.
- Release as a mixtape is grayed out. Select at least two renders that aren’t released yet.
