My name is David Ruff. I am a producer/songwriter. I have been doing music ever since my mid to late teens and have over 30 years in music. I started my journey as an artist, and now I am a producer and songwriter. I started out old school producing or should I say analog recording/producing and transitioned later into the new age of digital recording and production. I must say I was a late bloomer when it came to transitioning over to digital because, I had become so accustomed and comfortable with analog recording and production. It took some getting used to, but I eventually adapted, and it made the creation and recording process a lot easier.

In January 2000, I started my own independent label known as Off-The-Chain Productions. I didn't have any fancy equipment then or financial backers or any of that. I had all basic analog recording gear. I had a wife and 3 kids and I worked 3 jobs so I could support my family and finance my dream, and it wasn't easy. I formed a group called the Off-The-Chain All-Stars, which included myself and 5 other members. We were like and R&B rap group. I was the C.E.O., the producer, the manager, the financial backer, the booking agent, etc. As you can see, a bulk of the work and responsibilities were on me. Most of the members were young and had no knowledge of the music business or just business in general. I wouldn't say I knew it all, but I definitely knew a lot, because I had been in a previous groups before I had branched out and started my own label, and I got burned in that situation. I lost a lot and it gave me a wakeup call, so I started reading and learning more about the music business, so that I wouldn't be in that situation ever again.

Fast forward to 2018, and after taking a lot of financial losses, losing a lot of time and experiencing many disappointments from different artists. I wanted to start fresh and leave all of that behind, so I rebranded myself and Ruff-D Productions was born. I was always trying to look out for everyone else and started putting some of that focus on me.

My goal is to have my music featured in television, films, video games, on established artists/major label artists projects and just for the world to hear my music and what I have to bring to the table in the music industry. So, strap up and stay tuned! Ruff-D Productions will be coming to your radio, tv, film, etc. soon!

SONG LYRICS: Signed, Sealed, Delivered

I'm on the track.
Yeah.
Dear love, I write this all to you.
I'm leaving you behind after all you put me through.
No more late nights crying and crying, praying that you staying solid.
I never had somebody make me feel this way.
I saw the signs the way my heart set up and made me stay.
You all I know, but I'm a woman. I'mma be okay.
I hope you learn your lesson. Hopefully grow up one day.
I'm wishing nothing but the best.
Forgiving you and all your ways.
Signed Sealed delivered.
Cuz I've been needing healing
And no need to be contemplating baby.
Ain't nothing been the same lately baby.
Look me in my eyes and let me know you see me.
The rest of me that need some saving baby
Can't forget how you made me crazy baby.
You said you wasn't like them other.
You showed me all of your colors.
Well, at least I figure
My bestie worried about me,
telling me to leave you lonely.
I said you still played in my face.
She didn't beat on me.
And I made up my mind.
I can't go back.
I can't go back.
I gave everything I had just for you to turn your back.
It's a million
Waiting to give me something you lack.
You couldn't even be my spine and I still had your back.
So, what you want from me?
What you expect me to do?
How would you feel if I went out and pulled a you on you?
I tried to tell you how I feel you flipping and I'm being extra.
How could you be so disrespectful?
You left when I was low.
Thanks for being so helpful.
You make time for this, but I wasn't on the schedule when you was sleeping. Who you think was there with the shovel?
I was your ride or die and your lover.
I bet you you won't find another
Signed, sealed delivered.
Cuz I've been needing healing
And no need to be contemplating baby
And ain't nothing been the same lately baby
Look me in my eye.
Look me in my eye, baby.
Let me know you see me.
The rest of me that need some saving baby.
You made me crazy baby.
Man, I should have never left.
I should have stayed by your side.
So many days I didn't stress.
So many nights
Cry you the cage to my ribs on the back to your spine.
Do modern day Bunny and Clyde.
So many years in this
Never shed this many tears for a chick.
But
She's so real with this
Shorty definitely top tier with this
All facts. No
From the smile on your face
To the curves in your waist.
From the way that you smell
To the way that you taste girl
Girl I miss it
And I want to pay you a visit.
But I know that we can't kick it baby.
That's just how I'm feeling.
But I pray one day you listen
And try to spare my feelings
And understand I'm just a thug that urgently needs healing.
I'm passed up,
but I ain't going to cry no river.
Not at all.
Sign sealed and delivered
Cuz I've been needing healing
And no need to be contemplating baby
And ain't nothing been the same lately baby
Look me in my eye.
Look me in my eye, baby.
Let me know you see me.
The rest of me down. Need some saving baby.
You forget how you made me crazy baby.
Signed sealed and delivered.
Cuz I've been eating heaven
And you need to be contemplating baby.
And ain’t nothing been the same lately baby.
Look me in my eyes
And let me know you see me.
The rest of me down. Need some saving baby.
You forget how you made me crazy, baby.
