Beat 1 is a teaser and introduction to Lonely Gimmick. It's a short 2 minute instrumental blending styles of lo-fi hip hop and post punk. The purpose of beat 1 with its accompanying video is to give you an idea of LG's sound, style and aesthetic. A longer less lo-fi version will be uploaded in the coming months with vocals.
Please enjoy!

Lonely Gimmick is the alter ego of Max Pow, an anonymous multi-instrumentaslist musical artist. Both these names are pseudonyms to hide the artist's real identity. Their work is self recorded, self produced, with the vast majority of the instruments featured on each track played by the artist. LG wants their music to speak for itself and be nothing more than music. It is not about what they look like, what clothes they wear, their past, their gender, their sexuality or their race. LG wants to share their music with the world and hopes people enjoy their music as much as LG enjoys making it.
LG is quoted in saying this on social media:

"Hello everyone,
I've been holding onto a lot the last few years, Ive had some highs and many lows. During this whole time I have been writing and recording, trying to create something meaningful to me. I've ended up with a lot of songs, many of which I am still working on. In order to move on with myself and with new material it is time to let go of the old. I want all my music to be separate from anything I have done in the past. I do not want my music to be about what I look like, what clothes I wear, my gender, my sexuality or my race. I want my music to be about the music only. I wish to remain as anonymous as possible so if you do know who I am, please do not give the game away! I see this as a new beginning for myself and for my creative process. It is a time of growth for me. I really want to share my music with you and will greatly appreciate any feedback you wish to give. I hope you enjoy listening to my music as much as I enjoy making it.
Thank you so much for lending me your ears"
