David

A tale of a young man. Going through life in Upstate NY. A slower paced region. Long dark winters and short lived summers. With a chip on its shoulder to stand out, located about 300 miles north of the world-renowned New York City. Less industrial landmarks leads to more familiar small-town experiences. In relationships and career paths. But is this always a good thing?

Being so close together it’s common for your average friendship circle to include the college scholar, mixed in with the entrepreneurial nail techs, as well as the neighborhood drug dealer. In places like ‘College Town’ Albany NY, where houses aka KNOCK SPOTS are known to have everything you want without having to show ID. Risky moves and privacy don’t always mix. In love and in business.

Producer nine25 captures the dark gloominess of the town with melodies, while the bass knocks through the speakers. Like cars in local scenes up and down Central Ave.

Coupled with artist David, providing thoughtful and often direct lyrics. Crooning over heartbreaks and repetitive chants for motivational purposes. As a reminder, that he will make it to the through the obstacles set before him. Seeing himself as a light in a dark place. Waving the 518 Records flag to represent the place he comes from, and may soon have to decide to leave for good.
