At the age of 14 he decided he also wanted to be a rapper, when realizing singing wasn't his high talent around 15-16 is when his focus was directed strictly towards hip/hop. He was a very shy kid so he mostly stuck to himself, until the age of 16-17 when him and a few friends (Zavar Purifoy, Jeffery Miles Smith AKA Lucky(RIP), Matt Koch, and Jarrod Rigsby) started kickin freestyles here and there. Him and Zavar would sit up all night every night drinking, spitting, recording freestyles on cassette tapes through a boombox, and Zavar really started pushing him into pursuing his dreams and goals.
At the age of 20-21 is when he finally got motivation started working hard and buying studio equipment. He put together a cheap little set-up in the laundry room of his moms basement and recorded the "Just Practice Mixtape Vol.1" "The Laundry Room Edition" no mix no masters. Most popular for his track "Tha Dz Anthem" over Nas's "Hate Me Now", included the 48 bar no hook "Hustlers Anthem" freestyle over Rick Ross's "Push It"
In 2008 (A Name Unmentionable), Atam "Epidemik" Maurchie, Jake "Stranga" Brewer, and Deric "Flawless" Lockhart started My City Records. They recorded their first track together "So Clean", the track had alot of buzz going for it, it was played on 104.9 once that summer and had a few plays on 97.5.
While building their studio Epidemik and Flawless stayed recording track after track including "Dont Call Me", "In Da Club", "Trust", "Die Tonight", "Lose Your Life" etc. Tho they were working alot alot of things happened and their buzz slowly started decreasing. There has been alot transition in My City, people leaving people signing and linking together.(See Basic Info) MyCityRecords / OffTheAve.Com / Critical Productions / Monster Music / Flexkamp
My City and affiliates have many big projects coming up including The My City Records Compilation "Protocol Restoration". Flawless "Buiznes Iz Pleazure" .Epidemik "Half Hour Swag Shower". Eddie Monster "Horror Show" and much much more so be on the look out in 2012...
