Going to church and hearing gospel music influenced me at a very young age to start singing. During the later years, I gravitated to music from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. There still is nothing better than listening to old school jams. You can hear their soul in song, I sing from my soul, and you can hear it in my music. Whether it’s about love, sex, happiness or heartbreak, the soulfulness is there. In my videos, pictures, and dressing style, you can see it through my eyes and throughout my emotions that it’s there and it is real. BEHIND "LOVE YOU": It’s giving homage to love. The love interest is an actual professional actress, and in the video, she is styled by Safiya Jerome. My crew is a combination of people I work with on a daily basis, and we shot the video together in areas and places chosen by me and my team that we thought would be the best places for the concept I wanted to showcase.
